You'll be based at Befasy, a tiny beach village reached by boat from Toliara, with a private stretch of coastline and a run of world-class reef waves just five minutes offshore.
Bookings run as a full group takeover, 5 to 10 women at a time, so gather your girls- this one's for a group who want the whole resort, and the whole reef, entirely to themselves.
Surf here ranges from mellow and forgiving through to genuinely world-class, breaking on the outer reef and suited to developing surfers right up through advanced wave-hunters, so there’s real room to progress across the week.
Life outside the water moves at its own pace too, with kiteboarding, spearfishing, stand-up paddleboarding, snorkelling and traditional pirogue sailing all on offer, plus yoga and long beach walks whenever you’d rather slow right down.
Evenings happen at the resort’s hilltop restaurant and bar, with 360-degree views over the beach, the bush and the reef breaks below- the kind of spot that makes it hard to leave once the sun starts going down. The Area And Surf Spots
The reef breaks sit just five minutes from the resort by boat, giving the group direct access to a genuine variety of waves without the crowds found almost anywhere else in the surf world.

ISA Surf Instructor Course
Run over 2 days alongside your retreat, the course covers everything you need to safely teach beginner and early intermediate surfers- from instructor safety and equipment to coaching methods, skill progression and programme planning- combining practical time in the water with structured theory sessions.
The ISA Level 1 is the global industry standard for surf instructors and opens the door to coaching work at surf schools worldwide. Whether you're a gap-year traveller, a career-changer or simply want to formalise years of experience in the water, you'll finish the course ready to teach- guided by a woman who's built her own career doing exactly that.
ACCOMMODATION
Private Bungalow (Double & Single En-Suite): A private bungalow with a double and single bed en-suite, its own terrace, deck chairs and a hammock looking straight out over the ocean.
With only five bungalows and a maximum of ten guests, the whole resort- restaurant, bar and hilltop chill-out area included- is genuinely yours for the week.

Whether you’re a developing surfer working on bigger, more open waves for the first time, or a strong surfer chasing perfect, uncrowded reef breaks, sessions are guided around the group’s ability and the day’s conditions.

SURF EQUIPMENT
Given how remote the resort is, we recommend bringing your own board and equipment- our team can advise on quiver choice ahead of time for the range of waves here.
CAMP ACTIVITIES
Outside the water, there’s kiteboarding, spearfishing, fishing, stand-up paddleboarding, snorkelling and traditional pirogue sailing to fill your days, plus yoga sessions and long beach walks for a slower pace.
Paddling out together is where the Salty Sisters spirit really shows- cheering each other into waves, celebrating every small win, and building the kind of friendships that carry on long after the trip ends.
With the resort exclusively yours, there’s no schedule to share with anyone else- just your group, the reef, and as much or as little activity as you fancy each day.

Head out by car to spot ring-tailed lemurs, ancient baobab trees, caves and a striking desert lake — one of Madagascar’s most remarkable nature reserves.
Baobab Forest Quad Biking
Explore a larger baobab forest near Anakao by quad bike, an adventurous way to see Madagascar’s most iconic trees up close.
Pirogue Sailing
Head out on a traditional Malagasy pirogue for a slower, more local way to explore the coastline around the resort.
