Between surf sessions you can cool off in the pool, swing in a hammock, or take on the locals at table tennis and volleyball, and on Monday nights the on-site stage comes alive with a weekly talent show of musicians, comedians and performers.

The camp sits in Les Estagnots, a quiet corner between the centres of Seignosse and Hossegor, surrounded by long sandy beaches, dunes, a freshwater lake and pine forest. Step through the garden and you’re straight onto the sand; step out the front door and you’re minutes from Pure Surf Café’s sunny terrace, the wild nights of Le Tube, and Hossegor’s shops and beach promenade. The house itself covers 145m² across five bedrooms, with a big, modern living room and flat-screen TV for movie nights and rainy-day surf theory.

The Local Break: The Pass A short ride from camp, The Pass is Byron's most famous wave- a long, sandy-bottomed point break that reels for hundreds of metres on its day, with a gentler inside section that's ideal for learners and a punchier peak further round for the more experienced. It works on east-to-northeast swells through summer and holds bigger south-easterly pulses in winter, and it's rightly considered one of the most photographed waves in Australia.
More Breaks Close By Just around the corner, Wategos offers a handful of peaks off the point, with an easier right for cruisy longboarding and a punchier left further out — a favourite for those who want a change of pace. Head the other way into town and you'll find Belongil, a forgiving beach break just minutes from the main strip, great for beginners and usually a little quieter than the breaks closer to the headland.
