The Surf Camp

Learn to surf the way the pros do, led by big wave surfer Alex Zirke and his partner Tanessa Dalby, in a quiet corner of north Tenerife far from the crowds.

Our new surf camp sits in Tacoronte, a wine-growing district near Santa Cruz, with a pool, a 180° sea view from the house, and a genuinely local, non-touristy neighbourhood surrounding it.

This is real surfing, not herd surfing — small groups, elite instructors and more than 30 years of combined experience teaching you to read the wind, the waves and the ocean itself.

Our Tenerife package is built around a rich daily breakfast, one weekly BBQ, a yoga session, and a Wine & Cheese Tasting to bring the whole camp together. The house itself has a cozy living room, an outdoor gym, a drinking water refill station and a natural sea pool nearby, with everything from single rooms to a private suite with its own balcony and bathtub. With the Atlantic right outside the door and the Anaga Mountains, volcanic Mount Teide and the coast all within reach, this is a surf trip built for people who want to actually learn — not just paddle around.

Your Package Includes

Choose from cozy shared rooms and a private double to a self-contained suite with its own balcony and bathtub — every option built around the camp's pool, garden and genuinely local, family atmosphere.
Meals
A rich breakfast is included every morning — coffee, tea and a generous spread of fresh fruit and bread to fuel a day in the water.

Once a week, the whole camp comes together for a BBQ, and a Wine & Cheese Tasting brings everyone around the table to sample the flavours of the island.
Surf Lessons
3 Days Surf Course: A taster course for anyone unsure if surfing's for them, or who wants more time to explore the island alongside their lessons.

6 hours of surfing over 3 days, in groups of no more than 3 students per instructor, with lesson times adapted to the tides and conditions. Suited to beginners and advanced surfers alike, taught in German, English or Spanish. 5 Days Surf Course: Our full 10-hour course over 5 days goes deeper, combining water time with beach theory on reading the wind, the waves and the ocean itself.

Small groups of no more than 3 per instructor keep the learning focused, led by big wave pro Alex Zirke — 2012 German surfing champion — and his team, with lessons available in German, English or Spanish.
Surf Equipment
A shuttle straight from the front door to the surf spot is included with every course, and the team can help arrange extra equipment for those wanting more time in the water outside lessons.
Camp Activities
The outdoor gym is free to use any time, and a natural sea pool nearby is a favourite spot to cool off and take in the view.

Optional surf therapy sessions, run by trained psychologists and surf instructors, are also available for those wanting to combine surfing with structured mental wellbeing work — in individual or small group settings.
