You're never more than a hundred metres from good food, cold drinks and a proper night out- and this stretch of coast happens to sit right in the middle of some of Sri Lanka's best surf, with Weligama and Mirissa just a few minutes away and the famous point break at Midigama not much further.
Days here start slow with brunch in the beachfront garden and end late, whether that’s sunset cocktails and tapas up at our rooftop bar, The Upstairs, or one of our regular events- Twilight Market, Halloween parties, and the weekly Surf Camp Wednesday that fills the garden with music, cold drinks and hundreds of happy people.
Stay in one of our six air-conditioned double bungalows or two triple bungalows, finished in a rustic style with natural materials that sit beautifully alongside the old hospital buildings, or bunk down in one of our two air-conditioned dorms if you’re after something more sociable. Whatever you’re here for- surfing, partying, or simply doing nothing at all on a sun lounger- The Doctor’s House has a reputation for good vibes that’s hard to match anywhere else on this coast.

Ideal for small families or groups of two who each want their own bed. 4-Bed Dorm — An air-conditioned dorm with bunk beds, fans, mosquito nets and storage space, sharing a unique outdoor bathroom finished in the same rustic style as the rest of camp. 6-Bed Dorm — The bigger of our two dorms, air-conditioned and just as sociable, with bunk beds, fans, mosquito nets and shared outdoor bathroom facilities — a great, low-cost way to meet everyone else staying at tDH.
