Outer Reef Surf Camp Morocco is set on the Atlantic coast just north of Agadir, in the Taghazout region, where surf towns, cliffs, and long sandy bays line up along one of the most consistent coastlines in the country. This is a camp built for people who want their days organised around good waves and an easy rhythm: surf, eat well, recover, and do it again.
What makes Morocco special is variety. You can find mellow, user-friendly waves for learning and confidence, and you can also chase more powerful breaks when you are ready. The camp keeps things simple by matching the day’s plan to the conditions and your level, so you are not stuck trying to make the wrong spot work.
Packages
There are two ways to stay at Outer Reef Surf Camp Morocco. If you want everything arranged and a clear surf routine, the Surf Package is the full experience. If you want more freedom, Stay Only gives you a great base and you add surf, yoga, and extras as you go.
Surf lessons are divided into three levels according to your surfing ability:
– Beginner Surfer (Level 1): For first-timers and anyone who wants to rebuild the basics properly. You will focus on surf safety, confidence in the water, paddling, pop-up timing, and catching plenty of waves in the right conditions so progress feels quick and enjoyable.
– Intermediate Surfer (Level 2): For surfers who can already catch waves but want more consistency and control. Coaching focuses on better positioning, wave selection, cleaner take-offs, and turning your sessions into repeatable progress rather than occasional good rides.
– Advanced Surfer (Level 3): For confident surfers who are independent in the ocean and want to chase the best waves available. Guiding helps you pick the right spots for the day, surf higher-quality sessions, and sharpen technique and decision-making as conditions shift.
Surf Package
The full surf-camp experience, designed for all levels. Beginners and intermediates follow daily coaching, while advanced surfers surf with a guide so they are in the best waves for their level as conditions change through the week.

WHAT IS INCLUDED
Coaches keep beginners calm and progressing, help intermediates unlock consistency, and guide advanced surfers into better, more suitable waves with smarter timing.
Progression is built through repetition and simple focus points. Beginners work on safety, confidence, paddling, pop-up timing, and wave choice. Intermediates build consistency, better positioning, and more control on unbroken waves. Advanced surfers refine decision-making, timing, and performance, with guidance that helps them get more quality out of each session.
The team combines local knowledge with practical coaching. The goal is not to overload you with information, but to give you the feedback that makes the biggest difference.
Stay Only (Accommodation and Breakfast)
A flexible option if you want your own pace. You book your stay and breakfast, then add the surf, yoga, dinners, and extras you want depending on how full you want your schedule to be.
WHAT IS INCLUDED
Accommodation
Accommodation in Morocco is designed to feel like a proper surf home: relaxed, comfortable, social when you want it, and easy to switch off in when you do not. You will typically choose between bases in the Taghazout area, each with its own feel, but the same surf-first routine.
Across the bases you will find a mix of private rooms and shared options, designed to suit different budgets and travel styles. The overall vibe stays the same: comfortable places to sleep, a clean and simple setup for surf travel, and communal areas that bring the week together without feeling intense.

- Anza Base: Anza has a more local, lived-in coastal feel and suits surfers who like being close to consistent day-to-day waves and a calmer pace. Expect a sociable surf-house setup with shared spaces for meals, planning the day, stretching, and winding down after sessions.
- Tamraght base: Tamraght tends to feel a touch more “surf town”, with a relaxed coastal vibe and a great end-of-day atmosphere. Many guests love the rooftop feel here for sunsets, post-surf stretching, and that easy evening rhythm that comes with shared dinners and ocean air.
What’s Waiting For You At Our Surf Camp
A week at Outer Reef Surf Camp Morocco is built around momentum. You wake up, eat well, check the ocean, and the day takes shape based on what is working. Some mornings you may head out early to catch the best tide window. Other days you might take your time, let the wind settle, then move when the conditions line up. The point is you are not guessing. You are not bouncing between spots hoping you get lucky. You are part of a plan that is built around surf conditions and your level.
If you are learning or progressing, the coaching approach is structured but relaxed. You get daily time in the water, clear focus points to work on, and support that helps you understand what to do differently next session. If you are more advanced, guiding becomes the key. Morocco has a lot of options, and having someone who knows when each break works can be the difference between an average session and a proper score.
Back at the house, camp life is simple and social. Meals are a big part of the experience: breakfasts that set you up for the day, and community dinners that bring everyone together again in the evening. You will naturally trade stories, compare waves, and plan the next day without it feeling like “a schedule”. It just happens.
There is also a strong recovery rhythm built into the week. Even if you are surfing hard, it is easy to keep your body feeling good with time to stretch, optional yoga sessions, and the simple routine of surf, eat, rest. It is a trip that suits solo travellers as much as couples and friends, because the social side is there when you want it, but no one is forced into anything.
