The Surf Camp

Lizadro surf camp is located just moments from the sea, with open views over Foz do Lizandro Beach and only from a walk from the Old Town of Ericeira. Set inside a classic two-storey Portuguese villa, the house has been thoughtfully adapted to provide everything you need for your surf sessions.

Wake up to the sound of the ocean and embrace the laid-back lifestyle that makes Ericeira so special. Unwind on our rooftop terrace with panoramic views, or keep moving with yoga classes and stand-up paddle sessions along the river.

From Monday to Friday, dinner is prepared by our resident chef, Mikey, whose dishes have become a guest favorite over the years. His creative menus satisfy both meat lovers and vegetarians alike.

Surf in Ericeira's World Surfing Reserve

Included

Our surf package in Ericeira gives you access to consistent waves all year round. You will surf in the famous Ericeira, the first and only World Surfing Reserve in Europe. This recognition was awarded by the Save The Waves Coalition together with the International Surfing Association. The coastline offers world-class reef and beach breaks within a short distance.

We provide surf lessons in Ericeira for beginners, intermediate, and advanced surfers wotj certified instructors. All surf spots are within 10 km of the camp, including Ribeira d’Ilhas, a regular competition venue of the World Surf League.

Lesson schedules depend on tides, wind, and swell. We always choose the best time and spot each day. Foz do Lizandro is ideal for beginners thanks to its sandy bottom and mellow waves. Outside lesson hours, you can enjoy free surfing sessions.

The camp offers international recipes as well as local specialties. Daily breakfast and dinner from come included in the rate from Monday to Friday. Weekends are for social time! Enjoy our Saturday night BBQ, Sunday evenings we offer a transfer into Ericeira town, where you can explore the local cuisine.

LEVEL 1: 45€/PAX

Beginners Surf Course

Refine your technique and gain confidence. We’ll make sure that you develop your skills in line with your level and that you’ll catch as many waves as possible while having fun with the other surfers.

LEVEL 2: 45€/PAX

Intermediate Surf Course

Surfers with autonomy in the water. You must get up on waves on your own, have a strong paddling ability and be comfortable in the water in general. Instructors will help you to improve your skills.

LEVEL 3: 45€/PAX

Advanced Surf Coaching

You need to be able to drop in confidently on 3ft+ waves, be comfortable surfing at low tide, and you should also have experience in doing top/bottom turns, duck dives and surfing a shortboard.

Shared Rooms and Private Apartments

Your Stay

The camp has two connected buildings. Double rooms and 4 dorm rooms are located in the main building, all of them with shared bathrooms. The private apartments are located in the second building, with more dorms and double rooms. The surf camp also has a big terrace, perfect for yoga sessions, chilling and barbacues.

You can choose between shared or private rooms in the main building, or stay in one of the fully equipped apartments right next door. These apartments are ideal for families, couples, or groups of friends who want to enjoy the social vibe of a surf camp while having extra comfort and privacy.
